Bills Make FanDuel An Official Mobile Sports Betting Sponsor

The dash to get houses in order ahead of Saturday’s mobile sports betting launch in New York is underway, with the Buffalo Bills announcing a deal with FanDuel to make it an official mobile sports betting partner.

The New York State Gaming Commission announced Thursday morning that FanDuel, along with DraftKings, Rush Street Interactive, and Caesars Sportsbook, were given regulatory approval to begin accepting online wagers at 9 a.m. Saturday. FanDuel confirmed via a tweet on social media that it will hit the ground running.

“The Bills take pride in being a culture that is built on genuine connection with their fans, and we  are absurdly fan-focused at FanDuel, making this a natural collaboration,” said Mike Raffensperger, chief marketing officer of FanDuel Group, in a joint statement with the team. “As we prepare to bring America’s #1 sportsbook to New York state, we will collaborate with the Bills to bring unique content and experiences to one of the most loyal fan bases in sports.”

The deal with the playoff-bound Bills, who host the New York Jets on Sunday needing a win to clinch the AFC East, gives FanDuel access to multiple media assets, including television and radio advertising spots as well as in-game signage at Highmark Stadium. FanDuel will also be the presenting sponsor of the team-themed podcast Bills by the Numbers, in which Chris Brown and former special teams standout Steve Tasker discuss team updates and key fantasy matchups.
